As seen above are the files for my final project. Which was going to be a gun cabinet. I had designed the cabinet to be interlocking to give it the maximum strength possible. I wanted the cabinet to be as big as possible in order to have the maximum storage potential. The materials that were going to be planned on being used was 1/2" plywood and 1X4 lumber.
My project was a fairly easy concept as it is just an assembly of rectangles. It would have a massive storage cavity with insane storage potential. I wanted the ability to store at least 24 long firearms with the capability of storing ammo and smaller firearms. I learned with this project that the material thickness affects the whole design.
I was faced with many design confrontations along the way. Like the ability to fit the cabinet in the doors which limited the size of the cabinet. As well as trying to figure out the ability to use 3 machines considering my design was heavily dependent on the router. The machines I had planned on using were the router, the laser engraver, and the vinyl cutter.
